Mission Statement

At Good Health Psychiatric Services P.C. our mission is simple–to be our patients’ mental health advocates. We work together to educate and empower our patients in their journey to recovery via in-person sessions, group therapy, telemedicine, and other methods best suited for each individual patient’s needs. Compassionate care is a fundamental principle of our practice, starting from first contact with our staff, to personalized sessions with our expert Psychiatrists, Psychotherapists, and Nurse Practitioners. It is our privilege to help you lead happier, more fulfilling lives.

Insurances we accept

At Good Health Psychiatry, you can benefit from a wide range of accepted insurance, including major national and local NYC providers. This offers easy access to psychiatric treatment without financial burdens, ensuring everyone can receive the care they need for their mental health concerns. It ensures that the cost of treatment is covered or partially covered by their insurance, making it more accessible and affordable. By having a diverse range of accepted insurances such as Aetna1199, and MetroPlus, Good Health Psychiatry demonstrates its commitment to providing inclusive care and reducing barriers to treatment.

At Good Health Psychiatric Services P.C., we diagnose and treat various psychiatric disorders in adult and child/adolescent patients utilizing a combination of psychotherapy and medication management. Our psychotherapy is conducted individually, as a family or in a group setting. We believe this collaboration of services allows us to provide psychiatric treatments that are individualized and patient-focused. Our team of medical doctors, nurse practitioners, and psychotherapists work together to find the most beneficial, comprehensive, and compassionate treatment modality best suited to each patient. For added convenience we offer these services both in person and via telehealth. Our mission is, first and foremost, our patient’s health and wellbeing, furthermore improving each patient’s overall quality of life.

Medication Management Services are a spectrum of patient-centered, pharmacist-provided, collaborative services that focus on medication appropriateness, effectiveness, safety, and adherence with the goal of improving health outcomes.

A neuropsychological evaluation is a test to measure how well a person’s brain is working. The abilities tested include reading, language usage, attention, learning, processing speed, reasoning, remembering, problem-solving, mood and personality and more. The Conners CPT 3 uses both standardised and raw scores to determine not only the respondent’s performance overall but also in four different aspects of attention: Inattentiveness, Impulsivity, Sustained Attention and Vigilance.

While Covid-19 has made telehealth a momentary necessity, the advantages of this course of treatment have become increasingly evident. Mental health practitioners have witnessed the tremendous comfort it brings patients in the moments when they need support most. We believe telehealth is a convenient feature in advancing the psychiatrist/patient bond in the early stages of the relationship.

In acknowledgment of this, Good Health Psychiatric Services P.C. commits to continue offering telehealth to new and returning patients. With the utilization of telehealth, our Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, and Psychotherapists can diagnose, provide psychotherapy, and prescribe medications without a patient ever needing to leave the comfort and safety of their home.

I have seen many many psychiatrists and Dr. Natalie Rimar is really as good as they come in this field. She is very well versed in the medical field and she gives you the time and attention every patient deserves as opposed to just going to any psychiatrist them giving just 5 minutes of their time and saying ok will RX you XYZ medication I sent it to your pharmacy goodbye. Dr. Rimar actually cares about her clients and takes her profession very seriously. Thank you Again!
